Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital Implements New ClaimTrust InSight Revenue Cycle Solution
Seattle, Washington, June 15, 2009 (HFMA Booth #1135)…ClaimTrust, a leading provider of revenue cycle tools and services for hospitals, today announced that Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital (SHBH), a 253-bed private, not-for-profit teaching hospital, located in Brockton, MA, is one of the first hospitals to adopt ClaimTrust’s full new InSight Revenue Cycle Solution™ product suite
The InSight Revenue Cycle Solution is a web-based, fully hosted product suite designed to target key points in the revenue cycle to ensure that hospitals can most efficiently collect all of the revenue to which they are entitled. The suite is currently comprised of the following solutions: InSight Workflow & Claim Editor™, InSight Reports™, InSight Medical Necessity™, InSight Compliance™ and InSight Denials™—with two new modules, InSight Payment Variance Analyzer™ and InSight RAC™ joining the suite later this year. SHBH recently added InSight Denials to the products it was already using to become one of ClaimTrust’s first “full-suite” customers.
“We have taken a really different approach with this new suite of solutions in that we zero in on the few critical areas where focused effort generates the biggest improvement,” said Joe Ferro, president and CEO, ClaimTrust, Inc. “Hospitals that have known us for a while like Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, and organizations that are new to ClaimTrust are realizing the exceptional ROI they can achieve with this approach.”
The InSight Revenue Cycle Solution has delivered a range of benefits to the hospital, including helping billing and coding teams keep up with constantly changing payor edits. Overall, ClaimTrust’s solutions have consistently helped the organization improve revenue cycle performance by identifying root causes of coding and billing errors, and ensuring all claims are based on the latest medical necessity and payment rules for all payers.
“The ClaimTrust revenue cycle suite has had a significant impact on improving our coding processes especially when it comes to keeping up with payor edits, and helping us submit a significantly higher percentage of “clean” claims, that pay on initial submission,” said Ken Lucas, Director of Revenue Cycle for Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. “By adding the denial management component of the InSight suite, we will be able to further reduce our percentage of denials by identifying the root cause of the issue and implementing corrective actions.”
Currently SHBH uses the InSight suite for work associated with its two largest payers, Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Mr. Lucas’ Revenue Cycle team plans to expand its use of InSight to cover Tufts Health Plan and other managed payors in the near future.
The InSight Revenue Cycle Solution is the only solution on the market today that offers comprehensive all-payor edits and the ability to deduce unbilled charges to generate net new revenue for hospitals. The suite offers the industry’s deepest edit library, and provides revenue cycle filters that ensure that all claims are thoroughly scrubbed and fully coded with 98% payment accuracy. ClaimTrust’s ability to focus in on key areas of the revenue cycle allows it to provide hospitals with 90% of process improvement for only 50% of time and resources
